Louis Charles Lee (1892-1964), having just returned after five years of War Service, was appointed Factory Manager by early November 1919. After the factory closed down he went into partnership with Fritz Hugo Franz Dolling (1890-1955) at Horokiwi Quarries.
Claude Clarence Williams (1912-1998) took over the Wainuiomata Post Office on 01 October 1936, a few days after he married Freda Elizabeth Harris (1914-1991). In 1938 the Post Office was shifted from Moores Valley to the Main Road.
