A - NZ Railways bus depot and drivers houses. 37 new homes can be seen in this picture. The 102nd house is now being built (August 1945).
B - Old School and Public Hall
C - New house and joinery factory now much extended
D & E - New subdivision roads (D = Gibbs Crescent; E = Rowe Parade)
F - Old Dairy Factory
From 1948 Bill Sundgren, also known as 'Snowy' used the factory to manufacture prams. His father established a wicker furniture business in Middle Waiwhetu Road (now Waterloo Road), Lower Hutt in 1882 and he won a medal at the 1885 New Zealand Industrial Exhibition.
