Volunteering
The Wainuiomata Historical Museum Society Inc. is run entirely by civic-minded volunteers to preserve and promote the history of Wainuiomata. Additional help would be most welcome. You could:
[1] join the Sunday afternoon duty roster for hosting visitors;
[2] assist with updating the Museum photo catalogue;
[3] help with organising or hosting events;
[4] contribute articles to the Museum monthly newsletter;
[5] send scanned copies of Wainuiomata-related records - photos, postcards, letterheads, business cards;
[6] ask if we may be interested in adding Wainuiomata-related objects to the Museum collection;
[7] purchase a Society publication;
[8] make suggestions for improvement;
[9] make a donation
Donations
Receipts are available on request, e.g. for tax deduction purposes if contact details are advised.
The Society is a listed charitable organisation, and amount over $5 are eligible for tax rebates.

Become a Member
As a Member, you will receive a monthly newsletter; can visit the Museum free of charge; and access our extensive resources to further research projects. Annual subscription (April to March) is NZ $20 per household.
To join us please fill in the Membership Form and email or post to us. We would also be interested to learn of any historical connection you may have to Wainuiomata whether it be a relatively recent link associated with the dynamic expansion of the Wainuiomata Suburban area or to earlier settlers who farmed the land.
