According to inherited family knowledge the ladies in the cart were known as the "Drake Aunts". The original framed image belonged to Eunice Elizabeth Mewis Chambers (1898-1985) and is assumed to have been inherited from her mother, Elizabeth Jenkins nee Drake (1854-1942). Mercy Drake (1823-1905) and Emma Hopkins (1825-1899) were aunts to Elizabeth. |
